Founded in 2018 in the heart of Toronto, Locked In Escape began as a dream shared by four friends who were passionate about puzzles, storytelling, and creating unforgettable experiences. What started as weekend brainstorming sessions in a small garage has evolved into Canada's most innovative escape room destination, featuring twelve unique and immersive adventure rooms.
Our journey started when co-founder Marcus Chen experienced his first escape room during a business trip to Los Angeles and was immediately captivated by the blend of teamwork, problem-solving, and pure excitement. Returning to Canada, he shared his vision with college friends Elena Rodriguez, David Thompson, and Sophia Park. Together, they recognized an opportunity to bring something truly special to the Canadian entertainment landscape.
After months of research, design, and countless iterations, we opened our first location with just three rooms: "The Detective's Office," "Pirate's Treasure," and "Space Station Alpha." The response from the community was overwhelming, and within our first year, we welcomed over 10,000 adventurers through our doors. Today, we've expanded to include cutting-edge technology, elaborate set designs, and storylines that transport players to entirely different worlds.
